The BEST Torture Museum I have visited is right in Hollywood!

Over the years I have visited torture museums in Paris, Mexico, Amsterdam, etc and it usually co-insides with me going on the local ghost and vampire tour. When I was invited to visit and blog about the new Medieval Torture Museum right on Hollywood Blvd, just down the street from Bar Sinister and the El Capitan Theatre. Honestly I was like “oh no another cheesy torture museum!!”

Well I was pleasantly surprised (YES FOR A TORTURE MUSEUM), huge (over 6000 sq ft), it was well lit, the recreations of the items were fantastic and you could touch them, the descriptions of the torture devices were fairly accurate. The human mannequins were the most realistic and looked like they were in truly in pain. The music was uplifting and you could even touch almost everything. Look for the ropes and pull them!

Highly recommended for a family outing. Get 25% discount when you book your tickets on their website! They also have locations in Saint Augustine FL and Chicago.

Legendary LE BAR BAT NYC

Before MOTHER / Long Black Veil, during Limelight and at the edge of Columbus Circle existed the legendary venue LA BAR BAT was located at 311 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019. The Vampire Community gathered here before the birth of Gotham Halo. Here Anne Rice hosted book signings, Tony Sokol’s La Comedie du Sanguine performed, and USA UP ALL NIGHT did specials there. Closed in the late 1990s this venue was a masterpiece of gotham architecture.

Venice Carnival 2018 & Gala Nocturna

IMG_2533Well its been six years since I have returned to one of the most romanic and beautiful cities in the world: Venice Italy.  I came on this expedition for many reasons, first was personal to celebrate 6 years sober and I had my last party with alcohol in Venice 2012.  Second was to attend the legendary event Gala Nocturna, which was a major disappointment as it was cancelled.

Venice is a timeless city, like Paris but its buildings collectively are much more ancient.  Paris today is a 19th century city.  Built to protect people from Attila the Hun on a lagoon it became a major independent republic for many centuries until it was conquered by Napolean’s armies in the 18th century.  Carnival is the most amazing time of the year and it was created to create a sense of anonymity with masks and celebrations to equalise all the men and ladies of the city.

My main business reason was to attend Gala Nocturna (GN), which in my opinion is one of the best darker costume events in the world.  Sadly and with great disappointment GN was cancelled a week before Carnival for yet as unknown reasons.  Over 180 people planned to come to Venice for an event which in my opinion belonged as apart of Carnival.  This breaks my heart.

So in my two short days in Venice I was able to spend time with good friends I bumped into as we were scattered around carnival.  Its amazing how far and deeply my fang clients years later are still like family to me.  As I walked around Venice I met many of them, realising how deeply connected to Europe I am.  Whats great is I got to spend many years year 2002-2005 in Amsterdam and 2007 to 2015 living in Paris.  The culture and experiences I have had here really established the Sabretooth Clan in Europe and will be with me for a lifetime.

Aside from this I was able to dress up and walk the streets in a mask, take my first gondola ride, dance on a bridge to a man playing the sax, walk through secret allies, visit the Palace of thE Doge, eat ice cream and take a coffee at Cafe Florian, enjoy some really bad pizza and return to Venice once again.

I kissed a wolf and I liked it! – Part 1I kissed a wolf and I liked it! – Part 1

During my fabulous time enjoying my fangsmithing adventures in the amazingly magickal city of Prague in the Czech Republic (thank you to my hosts Andrea and others) I was invited by French photographer Jean Rost who is working on a wolf calendar to visit Wolf Center in Austria, just outside Vienna, Austria. Little did I know he was going right into the enclosure where the wolves lived, played and slept to take pics.

Also proudly wear your fangs if you have them.

For examples of what we are looking to do, see the footage of the two SABRETOOTH™ commercials of what inspired FangShop on Father Sebastiaan’s Youtube page at http://www.youtube.com/fathersebastiaan.

You must be properly dressed or you will be denied entrance and admission is absolutely FREE! The Ball is 21+ with proper ID of course. Our goal is to make this even look like the Ball in Labyrinth mixed with the club in the Matrix.

RSVP HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!

SPECIAL NOTE:

Nancy Glass Productions is going to be filming the Ball for an upcoming documentary special. We’ll be picking a few interesting people from diverse backgrounds for Father to make them fangs or for them to tell their stories of how they had their fangs made.
